Product Description Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler team up again to create this funny and adorable sequel to The Gruffalo. One night, the Gruffalo?s child wanders into the woods to search for the Big Bad Mouse. But instead, she comes upon a small mouse in the woods . . . and decides to eat him! But wait, what is that? A shadow of a very large, scary creature falls on the ground. Could it be the Big Bad Mouse after all?

Excellent book, part 2 March 1, 2009 My kids are never quiet except when reading especially this book. They want me to read it over and over again.
Gruffalo's Child January 12, 2009 I purchased this for my grandchildren because I loved the book "Gruffalo". I thought I would try this one. Both a adorable. The kids love them.
Not as good, but still great! November 6, 2008 I agree with other reviews that I don't think this book is as good as The Gruffalo...but I'm still giving it 5 stars because it is still a really great book. I don't think the story is as clever and the ending seems a little anti-climatic. But my 18 month old son LOVES this book...even more than The Gruffalo. This is one of the most often read books in our house.
Not as Good as The Gruffalo, but... October 10, 2008 This story, while good, lacks that certain something that "The Gruffalo" has. However, it is still and entertaining read and my 4 year-old faux-niece loves it.
Hilarious sequel to the Gruffalo - the big bad mouse is back September 20, 2008 This is the gorgeous sequel to Julia Donaldson's amazing and imaginative story, the Gruffalo. If you thought she couldn't top The Gruffalo - then think again. Again, this has been ably illustrated by the amazing Axel Scheffler - whose pictures of the Gruffalo cave and gruffalo toys had my kids in fits of laughter even before the story began.
Again the amazing rhyme and rhythm which Donaldson manages to put into her rhymes really manages to draw children into the story. They are amusing little observances throughout. I must admit, the first time I read this I assumed that the gruffalo child and the mouse, when they finally met, would make friends - but no - the Gruffalo child just wants to eat the mouse as well! And once again, the mouse is too cunning to let that happen.
Gorgeous book which I am sure your children will love as much as I do. We seem to have a stack of Julia Donaldson and Lauren Child books by our bed which are read over and over as bedtime storys.
